If you need to shorten a link in order to save space/characters in your text, do the following:
Visit: https://bitly.com
Click “Get started for free” and create a free account
Login to your account and click “Create” at the top right corner of the screen
Paste long URL in the space provided
Customize the back half of the link if you wish, then copy the link.
